STUDENT ATHLETE TESTIMONIALS

Hello everyone, my name is Marcus Morris.

I was one of Mr. Durkin's players and students in High school. I began working out with Coach Durkin my sophomore year of high school. At this time I was around 135 pounds soaking wet. I had never lifted weights in my life, Coach Durkin Introduced me to his weight, and speed program. I went from hang cleaning just the bar to hang cleaning 200 pounds for 5 reps. I increased my squat from 135 pounds to 315 pounds within less than 2 years. I dead lifted over 400 pounds and my bench press went up from 115 pounds to 175 pounds in high school. My strength increased dramatically and gained over 20 pounds. His weight program helped me become a standout athlete in two sports in High School. His program allowed me to become one of the top football players in my conference and in the state. I went on to become All-Conference in football, and All-State and All-American in track due to Coach Durkin's speed and lifting program. Believe me when I say, Durkin's Speed Wins! If it was not for Coach Durkin and his workouts, I do not think I would ever been able to play at the collegiate level.

Hey everyone my name is Brandon Krauss.

I was a student of Mr. Durkin for my entire high school career. I strength trained with him 3 times a week after school to help out with sports. Because of Mr. Durkin's extensive knowledge in speed, agility, and strength exercises, I saw major improvements in my abilities every year. My 10th grade year at 146 pounds, I competed in a lifting competition. I blew away the weight class and won deadlifting 405 pounds, bench pressing 160 pounds. Durkin trained me to lift in perfect form which showed at the competition. Also, I ran track in 10, 11, and 12th grade. I was a 3-time state champion pole vaulter, and set school records as well as the state record at 15 feet. Not only did he help prepare me for that event, but with his training, came incredible speed and flexibility. I was able to place 4th in the state for the 110m high hurdles, ran a 11.5 second 100m dash, 20' 2" long jump, 5' 8" high jump, and run great legs in relays.

In conclusion, the term: Durkin speed wins, is a factual statement. He is an amazing trainer and will do anything to bring out the best in you!


Hey everyone my name is Joe Casullo,

I am currently a junior at Sussex Tech, class of 2010. I am a 3 year starter for the football, wrestling, and lacrosse teams. I started lifting with coach Durkin my freshman year. I weighed 190 lbs, and my lifts were not very impressive. I started out benching 135 lbs, squatting 185 lbs, hang cleaning 95 lbs, dead lifting 135, box-squatting 275 lbs, and couldn’t do 5 pull-ups or dips. With the help and support of Coach Durkin and his strength and speed program my lifts all went up dramatically. In less than two years I gained 45 lbs, I now weigh 235 lbs. I am currently lifting with Coach Durkin, in our in-season program, two days a week. I am now benching 245 lbs, squatting 405 lbs, dead lifting 375 lbs, box-squatting 615, and hang cleaning 225 lbs all for 5 reps. I can also do pull-ups with a 25 lb weight around my waist for 5 reps, and 10 dips with a 45 lb weight around my waist. I owe all of these gains in strength and speed to Coach Durkin. He has been there the whole time helping me train to become a better, more versatile athlete. Last year I made 2nd team all conference football team for offensive line, and I owe it all to Coach. Hopefully I can keep lifting with Coach throughout College. Everyone says that there’s always one coach that you always remember from high school and Coach Durkin is definitely one that I will never forget.
